Creepy lifelike bollards designed to look like children to make drivers slow down have been installed near a Nottingham primary school.
The road furniture was the brainchild of Stoney Stanton Parish Council parish clerk Roz Ward, who created the statuettes in 2020 to protect children in her village.
And now some of the striking statues have been installed outside the Sneinton St Stephen’s Church of England school on Windmill Lane.Â
Despite their unsettling appearance, locals think they are a good idea – and some have even admitted that they slowed down after seeing them.
It is not the only place in the country where you can find the creepy statuettes in Windsor and Stoney Stanton, in Leicestershire.
