Entire Slovakia population under C19 military  testing – gov’t won’t say if it’s mandatory

A moment ago, at an extraordinary meeting, the government adopted a resolution entrusting the Armed Forces with the preparation of an operation called Joint Responsibility. The Minister of Defense Jaroslav Naď informed about it. Representatives of all four coalition parties stood up for testing. They argue that testing is the last way to avoid a lockdown.

“Without exaggeration, this is the largest logistics operation in modern history. The Armed Forces will prepare and conduct population testing for Covid-19. We expect the involvement of up to 50,000 people, including 7,000 to 8,000 soldiers, police officers, government officials, local governments and medical personnel. ”

According to Prime Minister Igor Matovič, the Minister of Defense only found out about the entire operation this week on Monday. However, he claims that the soldiers are ready.

“We will deploy all available soldiers, police officers, firefighters to technically manage it. I record statements from local governments and state administration that they need more information, each mayor can expect a visit, where he will learn all the details. We planned everything. An important aspect of the preparation will also be the weekly pilot testing of four districts – Námestovo, Tvrdošín, Bardejov and Dolný Kubín.

Mandatory or voluntary? We do not know
“Testing at the national level will help to better identify existing outbreaks, provide adequate health care for cases with little or no symptoms of COVID-19, and more effectively separate the infected population,” the paper said.

If everything goes according to plan, it should be tested in two weeks. SaS boss Richard Sulík admitted that the deadline could be postponed.

“I am convinced that comprehensive testing is one of the measures that needs to be implemented,” stressed the head of the Ministry of Justice, Mária Kolíková.
