SUNAMGANJ, Bangladesh, July 13 (Xinhua) — Floods in parts of Bangladesh including northeastern Sunamganj district, 296 km away of capital Dhaka, have affected over 1.3 million people and displaced tens of thousands of families, official data revealed Sunday.
The floods have caused widespread damage to habitation, crops, roads and highways across vast swathes of the country.
